Therapeutic Tubs

Soaking and hydrotherapy tubs with low-entry access, for arthritis, circulation and everyday pain management.

A therapeutic tub is a tub designed to be used often and got into safely — deeper water, a door or low threshold, and controls that can be reached while seated.

We install them across Northern Virginia and Maryland, generally for people managing arthritis, circulation problems or chronic pain.

  • Low and door-entry options. Get in without climbing over a wall, with seating at a usable height.

  • Seated-reach controls. Valves and jet controls placed where they can be operated from inside the tub.

  • Structure checked first. A filled tub is heavy; we confirm the floor can take it before installing.

What the features actually do

Deeper water covers the shoulders while seated, which is the point for joint pain. Air jets are gentler than water jets and easier to keep clean. Heated surfaces keep a long soak comfortable rather than going tepid.

We will not make medical claims for any of it. What we will say is which configuration suits the way you intend to use it.

Practical considerations

A filled therapeutic tub is heavy, so floor structure is checked before installation. Fill and drain times matter more than people expect, and a larger drain is worth specifying if you will use it daily.

Common questions

Therapeutic Tubs FAQs

Will a therapeutic tub help my arthritis?
Many people find warm-water immersion helpful for joint stiffness, but we are a bathroom contractor and not a clinician — that is a question for your doctor. What we can tell you is which tub configuration will be comfortable and safe for you to get in and out of daily.
How long does a walk-in or therapeutic tub take to fill and drain?
Longer than a standard tub, because they hold more water and you are sitting in them while it fills. A fast-fill valve and a larger drain make a real difference, and we recommend both if the tub will be used every day.
What areas does Clear Day Bath Solutions cover for remodeling projects?
We serve Northern Virginia, Maryland and the greater DC metro from our base in Woodbridge, VA. That includes Prince William, Fairfax, Stafford, Fauquier, Loudoun and King George counties in Virginia, and Frederick, Washington, Howard, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Prince George's and Charles counties in Maryland. If you are not sure whether you are inside our radius, call us and we will tell you straight away rather than sending someone on a wasted trip.
How does a tub-to-shower conversion benefit my home's value and safety?
Stepping over a 15-inch tub wall is the single most common way people get hurt in a bathroom. Replacing that tub with a low-threshold or barrier-free shower removes the obstacle entirely, and adding grab bars and a seat makes the space usable for decades rather than years. On the resale side, a dated tub in a hall bath reads as deferred maintenance to buyers, while a clean modern shower reads as a bathroom they will not have to touch.
What exactly is included in your custom wet-area remodeling?
The wet area is everything water touches: the tub or shower base, the surround walls, the valve and fixtures, the door or curtain rod, and the waterproofing behind all of it. A custom job means the base and surround are sized to your actual opening rather than forcing a stock unit into a space it does not fit. We handle demolition, disposal, installation and cleanup, and we leave the room usable when we go.
What are your hours, and how do I schedule a consultation?
We are reachable Monday through Friday 8am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 4pm. Call 571-751-7598 or send the quote form on any page. A consultation is an in-home visit where we measure the space, look at the existing plumbing and give you a written price. There is no charge and no obligation to book work.
What makes Clear Day different from the larger bath franchises?
We are locally owned and we work in the same counties we live in, so the person who quotes your job is accountable for how it turns out. Franchise operations often route you through a call center and a commissioned closer working from a fixed price book. We quote what your bathroom actually needs, we will tell you when a smaller scope will do, and you can reach us directly afterwards.
